The National Committee for Corona Virus Prevention has identified 45 areas of Dhaka’s two city corporations as ‘red zones’. Apart from 11 areas of Chittagong City Corporation, different areas of three more districts of the country have been identified as ‘Red Zones’. The ‘Red Zone’ area means that the number of Covid-19 patients is higher than the population.

No one has yet confirmed when the lock down will start in the identified area. However, the health minister says that lock-down will be given in these areas ‘very soon’.
The government lifted most restrictions on May 31 after a nationwide lockdown of the Corona Virus continued for more than two months.
However, as the number of infections increased day by day, the government decided to impose restrictions as required by dividing the area into red, green, and yellow zones according to the rate of infection and death.
On its basis, the capital’s East Rajabazar has been experimentally blocked.

The Central Technical Committee on Coronavirus Prevention then identified the “red zones” at a meeting on Saturday. The National Technical Advisory Committee deals with the area.

Red Zone Lockdown Area in Dhaka
A total of 45 areas in the North and South City of Dhaka have identified as ‘Red Zones’. Of these, Dhaka has 16 areas in North City and 28 areas in South City. And 11 areas of Chittagong City Corporation area fall in the red zone.

Dhaka North City:
The 16 areas of the Northern City Corporation that have been designated as Red Zones are:
Bashundhara, Badda, Cantonment, Mohakhali, Tejgaon, Rampura, Aftabnagar, Mohammadpur, Kalyanpur, Gulshan, Magbazar, Airport, Banasree, Rayerbazar, Rajabazar, Uttara, Mirpur.
Dhaka South City:
South City has 26 areas that have been designated as Red Zones are given below:
Jatrabari, Demra, Mugda, Gandaria, Dhanmondi, Jigatla, Lalbagh, Azimpur, Basabo, Shantinagar, Paltan, Kalabagan, Ramna, Sutrapur, Malibag, Kotwali, Tikatuli, Mitford, Shahjahanpur, Motijheel, Motijheel, Laxmibazar, Elephant Road, Segunbagicha.

Red Zone Area in Bangladesh
Two city corporations of Dhaka, multiple wards of Chittagong City Corporation and different areas of three districts have identified as red zones. These areas identified at a meeting of the Central Technical Committee on Corona Prevention on Saturday. This information has been known from a minutes of the meeting.

According to the decision of the meeting, the district deputy commissioner, civil surgeon and police superintendent will identify the red areas in these zones.
Outside Dhaka, several upazilas of Narsingdi, Narayanganj and Gazipur districts have identified as red zones. The decision was taken at a meeting of the Central Technical Group on Saturday, a source in the meeting said.
Lockdown Area in Chittagong
Chittagong City:
10 areas of Chittagong City have been placed in the red zone. These are: Ward No. 36 and 37 in Chittagong Port, Ward No. 39 in Patenga, Ward No. 10 in Pahartali, Ward No. 18, 20, 21 and 22 in Kotwali, Ward No. 14 in Khulshi and Ward No. 27 in Halishahar.

Red Zone Lockdown Area in Narayongong
Araihazar, Rupganj, Narayanganj Sadar and the entire city corporation area of Narayanganj district have identified as ‘Red Zones’.

Imtiaz Ahmed, Civil Surgeon of Narayanganj district, said, “In real terms, we will decide which area will be red zone.” It is not possible to lockdown the whole region. The point at which the number of patients is higher will identify. The civil surgeon said that the infection is increasing in Rupganj and Araihazar now. However, the situation is under control in the city and in the headquarters.
Narayanganj City Mayor Selina Hayat Ivy, however, thinks the entire city area should be locked down now.
Lockdown Red Zone Area in Gazipur
Of the three districts outside Dhaka, all the upazilas of Gazipur have been brought under the red zone.

The minutes of yesterday’s meeting said the central technical group would co-operate to identify red zones in their areas. In addition, they will monitor the decisions of the local administration. About Read Zone Lockdown Area Decision

লকডাউনে রেড জোনে কাজ চলবে যেভাবে
১। স্বাস্থ্যবিধি মেনে বর্ধিত শিফটে কৃষিকাজ করা যাবে।
২। স্বাস্থ্যবিধি মেনে গ্রামাঞ্চলে কলকারখানা ও কৃষিপণ্য উৎপাদন কারখানায় কাজ করা যাবে, তবে শহরাঞ্চলে সব বন্ধ থাকবে।
৩। বাসা থেকেই অফিসের কাজ করবে।
৪। কোনও ধরনের জনসমাবেশ করা যাবে না। কেবল অসুস্থ ব্যক্তি হাসপাতালে যেতে পারবে।
৫। স্বাস্থ্যবিধি মেনে শুধু জরুরি প্রয়োজনে বাসা থেকে বের হতে পারবে, রিকশা, ভ্যান, সিএনজি, ট্যাক্সিতে বা নিজস্ব গাড়ি চলাচল করবে না।
৬। সড়ক পথ, নদী পথ ও রেল পথে জোনের ভেতরে কোনও যান চলাচল করবে না।
৭। জোনের ভেতর ও বাইরে মালবাহী জাহাজ কেবল রাতে চলাচল করতে পারবে।
৮। এই জোনের অন্তর্গত মুদি দোকান, ওষুধের দোকান খোলা থাকবে। রেস্টুরেন্ট ও খাবার দোকানে কেবল হোম ডেলিভারি সার্ভিস চালু থাকবে এবং বাজারে শুধু প্রয়োজনে যাওয়া যাবে। তবে শপিং মল সিনেমা হল, জিম/স্পোর্টস কমপ্লেক্স, বিনোদন কেন্দ্র বন্ধ থাকবে।

সব জোনের জন্য পালনীয় সাধারণ নিয়মাবলি:-
১। এলাকার সবাইকে বাধ্যতামূলক মাস্ক পরতে হবে, হাত ধোয়া, জীবাণুমুক্তকরণ ও পরিষ্কার পরিচ্ছন্নতা, সামাজিক দূরত্ব বজায় রাখতে হবে।
২। করোনা রোগ/সংক্রমণ শনাক্তকরণ, তাদের আইসোলেশন ও চিকিৎসা প্রদানের ব্যবস্থা করতে হবে।
৩। কন্টাক্ট ট্রেসিং ও তাদের কোয়ারেন্টাইন নিশ্চিত করতে হবে।
৪। স্বাস্থ্যসেবা কেন্দ্র, হাসপাতাল, জরুরি সেবামূলক প্রতিষ্ঠান খোলা থাকবে, অসুস্থ ব্যক্তি পরিবহনকারী যান, ব্যক্তিগত গাড়ি ও অ্যাম্বুলেন্স কর্তৃপক্ষের অনুমতি নিয়ে চলাচল করবে।
৫। সকল প্রকার শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠান- স্কুল, কলেজ, কোচিং সেন্টার বন্ধ থাকবে।
৬। স্থানীয় প্রশাসনের অনুমতি ছাড়া জনগণ এক জোন থেকে অন্য জোনে যাতায়াত করতে পারবে না। প্রত্যেক এলাকায় সীমিত পরিমাণে প্রবেশ ও বহিরাগমন পয়েন্ট নির্ধারণ করে কঠোরভাবে জনগণের যাতায়াত নিয়ন্ত্রণ করতে হবে।
৭। এসব কার্যক্রম তদারকির জন্য কার্যকরী সামাজিক সম্পৃক্ততা এবং মাঠকর্মীদের অংশগ্রহণ নিশ্চিত করতে হবে।
১০। উক্ত এলাকার রোগীদের পর্যাপ্ত পরিমাণ নমুনা পরীক্ষার করতে হবে, শনাক্ত রোগীরা আইসোলেশনে (বাড়িতে বা আইসোলেশন সেন্টারে) থাকবে।
১১। মসজিদ উপাসনালয়ে সামাজিক দূরত্ব বজায় রেখে ইবাদত করা যাবে।
