Rajshahi University (RU) for the academic year 2022-2023 academic year 1st-year undergraduate and graduate (Honours) admission application will be open from 15 March at 12 noon to 27 March 2023 12 midnight. Final application can be made from 9 April 12 noon to 15 April 2023 at 12 midnight. The admission test in these three units A, B and C will be held from 29 to 31 May 2023 in four shifts from 9 am to 10 am, 11 am to 12 pm, 1 pm to 2 pm and 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm every day.
Only students who have passed HSC or equivalent examination of 2021 and 2022 can apply as per eligibility in all three units. Irrespective of the unit in which the candidate is applying, the qualification prescribed for the branch from which he/she has passed the HSC examination will be applicable to him/her.
A (Humanities) unit for admission consists of the Faculty of Arts, Law, Social Sciences and Fine Arts and Institute of Education and Research. B (Commerce) Unit has Faculty of Business Studies and Institute of Business Administration. C (Science) Unit has faculties of Science, Agriculture, Engineering, Biology, Earth Sciences, Fisheries and Veterinary and Animal Sciences.
2021 and 2022 HSC or equivalent, Diploma-in-Commerce, BFA (Pre), HSC Vocational, A level and other equivalent exams under Bangladesh Technical Education Board can apply for the admission test. Students who have passed from traditional and open universities will not be able to apply.
For admission applicants who have passed Humanities must have an overall GPA of 7.00 with a minimum GPA of 3.00 in both SSC/equivalent and HSC/equivalent examinations. Applicants who have passed Commerce stream should have aggregate GPA of 7.50 with minimum GPA of 3.50 including fourth subject in both SSC/equivalent and HSC/equivalent and science stream should have aggregate GPA of 8.00 with minimum GPA of 3.50.
Pass in 5 subjects in GCE O level examination and minimum two subjects in A level examination. At least B grade in 4 subjects and C grade in 3 subjects out of total 7 subjects in both levels. Candidates intending to appear in the English Paper must fill the additional form for the English Paper at the time of final application.
An hour-long admission test of 100 marks will be held in MCQ mode. The exam will have 80 questions per unit. One mark will be deducted for every four mistakes.
